Title: Biologist Reports??
Post by: SlimShanty on March 07, 2021, 09:55:47 PM
I always look at biology reports from the fish commission. So the idea hit me today why not have the fish commission biologist walk the ice and take a look at what us ice fisherman are harvesting?? To me that would be a great way for them to potentially collect more information on any given lake. As long as they dont stop me from fishing!!
Lol

It just occurred to me that I have never seen a PFBC officer on the ice or at an access in all the years Iíve been ice fishing.  Do they check licenses and enforce the regs in the winter?  I see them fairly often during open water seasons.  :-\

Ive been checked by the fish police but mainly at state parks. Especially at Upper Promisedland due to the panfish enhancement regulation.

Consider yourself very fortunate. I never had a pleasant conversation with one in PA ever and I'm almost 67. In NY I have had many enjoyable, and informative conversations with DEC officers.
