I get most of my gills on an Arnolds teardrop. Gold seems to be the best.   #8 Hook.

I have a lot of success with a mini beetle spin with a mealie on the jig in warm water, seem to attract much bigger than average bream.  I'm definitely gonna give it a try under the ice.  The flash and the color seem to set them off.

Any small Northland jig, Doodle Bug is my favorite then the forage minnow jig

Used to be the Mar mooska but will be trying the new Gill Pill this year see how it doe"s if not the Fat boys are always a good option.
