Someone I know fished PL yesterday and says that it was 6 1/2" but be careful anyway - it is still early

Fished PL Upper this morning for a couple hours, only jigged. Managed a couple nice gills, but it was slow. Quite a few folks out fishing. Ice was about 6" but this warm weather coming up will probably all but destroy it. I would expect the ice to begin deteriorating tomorrow, especially with no snow cover. Cleats or spikes are a must, the ice is clear solid black ice in most places. Super slick
