Harveys Lake
« on: February 06, 2019, 04:19:40 AM »
Hit Harveys Lake Saturday, 2 degrees, about 8-10 inches ice. Started out real slow, considered leaving around 11am as we had only a few gills and perch then it turned on hot from 1130-2pm and we picked away all day at real nice perch and average gills and 1 slammer CP.  Ended up with 45 fish on the ice minus the CP. We started in deep water about 40' at 7am, but found them in shallower water around 20' just before noon. Some of the perch were 12-13 inches and a few had 11" girth- obviously females. The smallest was ~ 9". Would love to post pics, but still find it difficult to do.
Fish on and never get discouraged!

Wanted to fish Harvey's again but checking it out this evening there is no way to get on, water is open 75 yards from only public access and the 1 private access I have is open also. Thinking of hitting Hunters but don't want to drive all that way to find out cant access it either.

That sucks.
I haven't been able to get on Harvey's in 3 years.
Ice season around here gets shorter and shorter.

I would bet you could get on at Hunters. I was able to walk into Moon at 430 today if you want a closer alternative. I will be posting a more detailed report on moon later.
Have an Ice Day!
