That Wilcraft looks like fun but it probably cost more than my car.

Possibly, the new ones have gone up in price. My understanding is somewhere in the high teens-20K for the 4-wheel, hydrostatic drive. Mine is first generation, 2-wheel drive with belts and torque converter, it cost slightly more than half that + shipping. But it does float, priceless.  8)

Looks Saturday will be a good day for me to get out. I'm thinking Ford's Pond.

I'm heading deep up into Wayne co for Saturday morning. Next week looks abysmal even in the icy strongholds on far northeastern PA. but there is a glimmer of hope... if the ice in Wayne and Pike can hold on somewhat the first two weeks of March look promising. One can only wait and hope.

Was out today in pike county and the ice took a beating.   Started on 11 inches and left at dark with 8.5.  It was very honeycombed hand auger was just chewing through it producing large chunks of ice not the shavings.  A large crack then went as far as we could see had spots that were over a foot wide with the hourglass shaped sides .  I would say the ice was 40/60 hard ice to bubbly honeycomb.

I guess we could head north.  Anybody interested in upstate NY/Canada?  Now this gets me thinking...  I have heard of folks who follow the surfing waves around the world (Endless Summer). I wonder if anyone has ever followed ice fishing.  I assume that there is ice fishing somewhere in the world year round but I could be wrong.

10 inches on Oxbow today but it was warm. Hopefully it survives two weeks then lock up first week of March for some late ice action!!
If not head North...........
Free fishing upstate New York this weekend. Don’t need a license.
Anybody know anyone up there that can put me on a good lake?

I'd be out picking them up and saving them for trout and bluegill bait. Ground is still frozen here. Just saw some grass in the yard for the first time in weeks.
