NILS USA is back with us again this season. They indicated that demand has been so great that they are almost out of supply. If you had one of these state of the art hand augers in mind better get off the fence and start looking cause they are going to be gone. Same story with Jawjackers BTW.

I bought my first Tanaka (nils) back in the 80s ,and still in use , with the same cutting head ,  I’ve never looked back , I own three sizes , with extra heads I’m still amazed how easy the 8” turns , probably the best signal purchase in 40 +years of icing on my own ,of course that’s JMO

Nils sure are the best cutting head. I have one with a Tanaka powerhead too, it's my go-to when the ice gets thick. I'm too lazy to turn a handle.  ;D Nothing cuts like a Nils.

I purchased my first Nils hand auger at the end of last season. Haven’t used it yet, but, had the chance to use Freddie’s last season. Smooth and fast. Eagerly waiting to cut some ice with it!!!!😎

I used the nills convertable that td won in tourney.  Extreemly nice and well made and amazing smooth cut.  You didn't have to put pressure on it   It ate ice on it's own. Loved it........

Yo FM and Freddy,

I will strongly endorse the nils as well. I also purchased one additional head for mine. I get into some spring ice and tend to dull one when the ice gets dirty. I just sent my spare out  to get it sharpened. Keep it protected and out of the sand, it will cut through the ice like butter, seriously. !<>!

The pond in some years chipper teeth are a better choice, a lot depends on the winds and snow cover at the beach
