Long Pond Wayne County
« on: February 15, 2017, 08:14:01 AM »
Hey guys, I looking for driving instructions from Honesdale to the PFBC parking area at Long Pond. Looking at Google maps it appears I can get in from Aldenville or Bethany. I will be coming into Honesdale from Rte 191 from Lake Ariel.  Thxs.  FT

Stay on 191N throuh Honesdale, right outside honesdale bear left on 670. Stay on 670 till you see the fish commission sign for long pond on your left, its right past fox ledges spring water plant. If you come to the little red school house, stop in & have a drink, then turn around, you went half a mile too far.  good luck

Thxs, I did travel that way yesterday. The sign is about 8 miles from the Rte 191/670 fork. Then left on Long Pond rd and the last left is .3 mile in on Long Pond rd. .7 miles to PFBC parking. I always measure my mileage on my way out...helps for the next trip. About 12 inches of ice, the top was sloppy with water, snow mix. I only managed about a dozen bluegills but they were very small, no keepers. 3 others guys there with the same results. FT
