How Much Snow?
« on: February 09, 2017, 08:52:46 AM »
Just got done plowing three driveways on my cul de sac. It looks like between 9 an 12 inches of snow so far. Way more than was predicted for this location in Shavertown. Going to hit Lackawanna tomorrow. Won't be walking far. They probably got more than me.

wow, we didn't get nearly that much. Probably only about 4-5 inches at the most.
When Hell freezes over, I'll ice fish there too!

Shavertown must've gotten more than anywhere, I was 1/2 way down the hill from FM and at least 10-inches  :o

Plenty up at moon lake  too. I went up to check the ice, we.can forget about that for a while. Not plowed up there  either.  Deep  snow on the hill. I went down just to test my fwd. Came.out w/o spinning a wheel. Bad.shore weak with holes and slush.

I wonder how much is getting blown off the ice. we didn't get so hard with this one but the drifts are crazy. The higher areas of my yard are pretty much bare and there's 1ft drifted snow in the lower spots.

Well, at Upper Woods this morning about half the 8" on the lake was blown off. I drove down to the parking area in a set of tracks made yesterday. (was not plowed when I got there at 7.) Almost bottoming out in the Subaru. Tough drag down to the launch from the parking lot, even with the smitty. The snow was so light and deep there, even the smitty was sinking. But once I got on the lake, it was only about 4" and had no problems with the smitty then. IT was blowing across the lake like crazy while I fished!

BTW, 9" near Milford in Pike Co.
