Does anyone fish the Lake O inlets for steelies? I would think the the Salmon River inlet and the Little Salmon River Inlet would be good places to try this.

I've iced only one steelhead in my life Dave, not intentionally. It was a surprise while perch fishing on North Sandy pond. As far as targeting them in the areas you questioned... Freddie is our seasoned vet in those areas. I'm sure he'll chime in.😎

Over the years I have seen a few iced and they came off sandy pond  , but not a fish that guys target around here ,

I know orngcrush thinks he had one on a week or so ago at sandy,faught for awhile then seen it as it took one more run straightening his jig right out,boggy was there

Duffy got one at the Sandy Pond dink fest a few years back. I checked the Ice several times the last few years in the estuary near the Lighthouse on the SR thinking the same thing. Between the wave action and the fluctuating water levels you wont see my butt out there, spooky! Maybe under the Rt 3 bridge the ice would be more stable.
