I made a mistake in the Pickerel category. I should know the rules better by now. No excuses just f-ed it up. At any rate. Peterdafisherman pointed out that the rules state:

In the Event of a Tie: the angler with the next best fish (back up fish) in that particular category will be awarded the win.  As you can see, it is very important to enter as many fish as possible, and to keep upgrading as you go. Don't wait for the one big one to come along. Enter the fish you have today and get in the game. If there is no back up fish the tie will be broken by the first of the fish entered.

Pete has a back up fish at 18 inches so he takes first and fulldrawbob takes second. To both members I am truly sorry for my mistake. I am editing the winners table to reflect this development.

Thanks for PM'ing me. No that is not what I said so let's not turn it into that. PDF had a 25 inch fish also that made it a tie. The tie breaker here has for years been that the guy who has the best back up fish wins. So say for instance you had entered an additional fish that was 22 inches then you would have won with that back up fish. That's the way it is. I erred when I did the judging. Like I said I am sorry but you didn't win 1st by the rules of this tournament.

Rules.are the rules. PDF won by the rules. There's  never been a flip of the coin. You did read the rules before you put in all that effort didn't you? That tie breaker was put in place years ago.to encourage contestants to keep fishing and.entering fish in the tournament. There.have been other ties broken the.same.way. it was my mistake announcing that you won 1st. I have said that and.apologized to both of you guys.
