photo bucket...???
« on: January 11, 2017, 08:52:23 AM »
For those of you who access there accounts and post pictures with there phones,  does your phone start vibrating followed by a message that says your phone is heavily infected by Malware or some sort of viruses.

I have a fish to enter in the tourney and every time I log into the photobucket it says this almost immediately,  and wants to direct me to download something from Android apps.

Its a pop up . I have seen it. Can't you just hit the attachments and post the pic right from phone or email it to PC and attach that way. Shoudln't need to use an image host

Unless you have a Charter Member acct. You do need a 3rd party photo hosting account. PhotoBucket has become so difficult to use that I stopped paying for the pro accts I had their. So you have my sympathies.  There are many alternatives. Here is an article on some of them. Google photos looks very promising.

So far I have tried 3 other hosting sites and none of them have worked.  Two would not even upload photos from my phone and shutterfly does not have share links (or at least none that I found)

I'll read your link FM. Thanks

Thanks.  Are the details something that I will be able to do myself on my cell or home pc.   Also should I post or pm you picture or links of the actual trout to be entered so I don't go over the time lapse for posting a fish.

I did it on my cell. Don't worry about the time limit for this. Your doing due diligence.

FM when ever you have time.    I just posted the links so they were in a timely Manor and not DQD.

Thank you so much.

I tried again to get on photobucket again and that same thing happened.    I wonder if I started a new email account if it would allow me to set a new photobucket accuweather that might not get that thing to come up.

Go to your Google Photos acct double click the pic you want to post. It will pop up in a new window by its self right click the pic and select
Copy image address Go to your post form and click the photo icon
and paste the copied image address in between the image tags. The addresses are huge, too huge to type out you will have to copy and paste accurately or the pic won't show. If it doesn't show that will most likely be the reason. Here's a nice lake george laker from 4 year ago.

this may seem a little awkward at first but the quality is better and the service is a million times better I'm done recommending PhotoBucket long live Google!

Dumb answer.... you don't lol You press and hold the text you are interested in for a second or so and two little blue balloons will appear. Then you use you smart finger to drag the balloons to the beginning and the end of the text. You should at this point see some options: cut, paste, and copy. Copy the link.
This is cell phone 101. You can google how to copy text with an android. I'm done teaching beginner classes. Everything you need to know or learn is searchable.
