Fished Sacandaga yesterday from 8-5. We got 2 pike 32" and 34". 6 eyes and 2 perch.  I got the ole skunk but was able to help out the friends.  When your flags arent going up it's easy to see everyone else's. Local bait shop didn't have anything except large suckers so I tossed those pigs on the line. Bait of choice was large shiners off the.bottom.  There was a couple inches of snow on lake but we're getting some good rain now.  Should pack it all down. Single digits by end of week.

Fished Sacandaga today from sun up to sun down.  With a high sum the bite was slow.  We managed two pike and an eye right before dark.  Ice was in good shape and only a coating of snow.  It got cold. 5 degrees when we left.  The shanty was toasty though as we cooked up some tastey venison on a skillet.

Generally for walleye yes.  I'm too lazy to get on ice hr before sunrise but it may be a great move. Pike seem to bite 10-4.

Pics are with phone. I used to use a camera but too much crap in my pockets.

Hit up lake Champlain today.  Fished from 8-2.  Great crappie bite.    We landed 21 and my friends got 32.  All on fat heads. Was able to use the jawjacker and it worked great.  Landed 3 on that.  Ice at 10-11".  Guys all over with full size trucks driving past us.  Ice cracking the whole time. She was like are they too close.  What's going?   Hilarious.  Was able to bring my wife and she did great.  It was 4 degrees when we started.  She lasted out and caught a bunch of fish.
