Auger conversion question...
« on: December 13, 2016, 09:46:41 AM »
This may be a stupid question but has anyone ever made or heard of someone making an adapter to put an auger on the power head of a chainsaw? Take the bar off and turn the power head on its side and it should be more than enought to run an auger through the ice providing its not a small saw. Let me hear your thoughts.

I've heard of it being done.
When Hell freezes over, I'll ice fish there too!

That would be awful heavy compared to using a lithium powered 1/2 inch drill. I've been using one for 2 years and I'll never go back to anything else.

I believe Sthil makes one.  I've seen one used in Canada.
