First post of 2014-2015 ice season

Hello, hello, hello, hello (fades away, lol).
Well back for another season. Been fishing crappie open water and looking forward to hitting them thru the ice. My buddy is looking to get a new Strikemaster Lithium auger and a new fully insulated Otter portable. Not sure about the auger as I haven't seen much info out there from anyone that has used them. The shacks, though expensive, are awesome.
I do not have any purchases for this season lined up. I'll probably fish more local this yr hitting up spots closer to home.
Anyone else starting to think about this yr?
Hopefully this board lights up a little more than the end of last yr. It died off quick. I think social media (facebook etal) have put a big hurt on forums in general. I myself prefer forums. Pulling up information from the past is much easier and I'm not locked into "liking someone" or "friending them" in order to have a conversation.  I'm sure those other platforms have their place in the grand scheme just not my cup of tea.

Here's to another fun filled season on the ice!

I'm getting my gear ready and considering buying a six person portable so my kids have more ice time...
