Got out to my old stomping grounds at Lily from 1:30-5:30 today, nice overcast day but the fishing was terrible. Running and gunning down the left side of the launch all the way to the far side big rock, then 1/2 way down the opposite shore line hitting 8-25 FOW, several 3-4" dink sunnies and perch. Saw a beautiful Rainbow with a large shiner stuck in its mouth frozen in the ice about 6" deep. Was hoping to get into the rainbows or crappies as I did in the Spring but no luck. Not even any fillet-able gills. Met a guy coming off the ice from the morning and he had the same luck, dink gills and perch.
But any day on the ice is a good day!
