If it was me, I'd go back and post a sign at the launch. LOST ICE AUGER. If found please contact:

You might get lucky and get a call from the person who found it! Is worth a try.

We might have just missed it if it fell out on the side. Have you been back to look for it?

I guess it is possible, but I would think something that big would be hard to miss.

I left the lake around 10am.   I live 1.5 hrs south.  I did go back.  But it was rt at dark. Again I posted here just to see if anyone picked it up.   At least it wasn't a power auger.  Thanks for the info

Sorry you lost your gear. Hopefully the guy that stole it will cut his finger off with it or somethin karma-like. man I hate them expensive type lessons. Well, have a beer, shake it off and go get a better auger. You deserve it ;)

Dang Spider! No mercy!  :o

bsult32- well, don't look at it as a LOSS. Look at it as an OPPORTUNITY to upgrade!  ;)

Lost the bottom half of my 8" Mora in Moon Lake last Saturday.  Ordered a new 6" on Monday from Fish USA for 42 bucks and it was delivered yesterday. Free shipping over 50, so I have some new jigs to try also. Blades for my backup auger were over 30 bucks,  so I just got a new one

Don't mean to rub salt in the wound, but curious- how did you lose the auger? You using it on a cordless drill?
