Small Waters
« on: June 21, 2010, 08:50: PM »
I got out on Father's Day for a few hours on the Tunkhannock Creek. The river was my goal but it was still a bit too dirty for my taste. As usual the flora and fauna didn't disappoint. The wild rhododendron was the first I have seen this year. You will have to see the merganser video I shot, how many would you guess that there are? Not too many fish, but how about the butterfly shots? Wait till you see the produced image I'm working on of that swallowtail. Lastly: the water shots are before and after pics of fallfish mounds. In the spring fallfish as part of their breeding behavior gather pebbles into these giant mounds. These would each be about a wheelbarrow full of stones. When the water is low you will see them along the shore or sticking out of the water.
