Awl or Nothing
« on: April 28, 2010, 08:03: PM »
One of my wading shoes had a material tear. I can't afford to buy another pair so I purchased an awl at a Michael's Craft Store, %40 off with the weekly coupon, it ended up being $11. After reading the instructions I made a nice double stitch that pulls the split parts back together. I should get another year out of them. I put a drop of super glue on the tie off knot to hold it. I have several more little repairs I can do with this: from my tent to a carry bag for my ice shelter. I think I will get my money's worth out of it!
