Chasing Natives

I got an opportunity to hike a stream in state forest land last week.  The area had been hit hard by some heavy precipitation just a couple months ago and the little stream was a bit "rearranged" but the native brookies were still there.  What used to be a very scenic stream was now just scenic, but still nice.

Every pool had some form of life in it, the brookies went from 3 or 4 inches up to 7 inches, all beautifully colored.

There were new trail blazes and markers

very cool looking little stream, awesome stuff.
I think that I'm going to go hunting for a new little brookie stream this week too.

Cool pics! There's just something about those little native streams feels like your fishing where no one has ever gone before.
