Soft Water is Finally Here by Billbo
« on: January 19, 2010, 09:54: PM »
Soft water is finally upon us !!  Looking forward to getting the boats ready and hitting the area lakes.

I'm located just about in the middle of Wayne county so I put some time in on Belmont, Prompton, Millers, Upper and Lower Woods, Duck Harbor, Bronsons and the Seasonal Lake Wallenpaupack, I say seasonal because if you fish it at all, you know what it's like on there after the summer folk arrive. Outside of the area, I've been fishing Black Lake, NY for 20+ years(phenominal fishery), Lac Du Cerf in Quebec for about the same time, the Big Rideau and wander up to Lake Ontario when I can.

Fish wise, I'll fish for anything but I have to admit, Smallies are by far my personal favorite. Nothing gets the heart pumping like when your line goes tight and starts heading toward the top and ole bronzeback comes flying out of the water.

The past couple years have had a few setbacks that curtailed my time on the water. Economic and family matters took it's toll. A  major building project has consumed much of my time as well, but hopefully this summer will see that completed and operational and I can continue where I left off but that is for a latter conversation.

I look forward to more time on the water this year and meeting more folks from the site. Good luck to everyone this summer. Hope you find that fish of a lifetime.(or it finds you)
