Best Idea In Long Time
« on: May 20, 2006, 04:17: PM »
This is the best idea I've had in a long time as far as the do it your self thing goes. I am working on an article for the site on fishing for cats on rocky points during the summer. One of the problems with it is the rocks. You have to pile up rocks to put your rods on. I'm not that into masonry and just came up with this multipurpose solution. [Stop] while I pat myself on the back Pat, Pat, Pat!!!
This will be on the market in a year or two but I give it to you free. Remember you saw it here first.

As you can see the rod in one bucket is balanced with out any thing in the bucket! The way I will use these is to carry some of my gear in one and my lantern in the other. When I get in position the gear and the lantern come out a big rock goes in and no more tippy rock piles to hold my rods. Yea baby I can't wait to try them out on monday night!

By George.......I think that'll work! A rod holder that you can carry gear in, sounds good!

I had the bucket brigade out for a test run on Monday evening. They are the invention of the decade! Like penicillin or asprin they did the job. This could mean peace in our time.

Now just add the bucket buddy tool pouch and convert it into a tackle bag and add a seat you have something to bring to market.

I never saw this post until now, did it pass the test, or did a big channel cat pull the pole
right out and down the river.

No need to worry when you are using bait runner spinning reels or fish alarm type bait casters. With the rest you are no worse off than you would be with a forked stick or a rock pagoda. I still have these buckets. I get them out in the summer for cat fishin' something that I do less and less of as life encroaches on me. Not to brag but I have got the cat thing down to a personal science. I go out at premium times and get my fill of it. I put in serious work on these fish back in the 80's all hours all seasons and conditions in our neck of the world. Late next March, and April when there is not very much else to keep me occupied I'll be back on the river bank haulin' them in.
